Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems and be able to diagnose and repair a variety of vehicles. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Duties
* Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify issues
* Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, and other systems
* Diagnose mechanical problems using diagnostic equipment
* Replace or repair defective parts using hand tools and power tools
* Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
* Collaborate with other team members to improve processes and efficiency
* Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in technology
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role
* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
* Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
* Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
* Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
* Good communication skills, both verbal and written
* Relevant certifications or qualifications in automotive technology or mechanics are advantageous
* A full driving licence is required
