Job Description Senior Product Specialist (Money Services)

As the backbone of Sage, the Service Fabric represents a set of domain experts and technical capabilities in areas such as consent, user identity, bank feeds, payment processing, payment acceptance, tax return calculations and submission and e-document processing that are integrated into multiple Sage products. These capabilities are provided through individual cloud Services which are built once and consumed by different Sage products that need the capability enhanced with the thought leadership and customer empathy of the domain experts. This will allow us to deliver consistent and seamless experiences across products while increasing the value to customers.
This Senior Product Specialist role is key to support the Product Managers in the delivery of the Banking and Payment Service strategy (including support with the ideation and creation of new associated services) within the Payments and Banking Product team .Regulation changes (i.e. PSD2 and Open Banking, Open Finance) are revolutionising the way technology can enable Financial Services in other ecosystems, Sage is at the front of this revolution and requires a Senior Product Specialist to help deliver a winning strategy. The Senior Product Specialist will work closely with Senior Product Managers, Product Marketing, Product Development and the Partner Centre of Excellence to enable agile and innovative delivery which is commercially successful. This role has a clear progression route into Product Management and ownership of the Service strategy and Roadmap.

• Support the growth and commercial success of the service, driving revenue opportunities, adoption and usage
• An understanding of colleague and customer experience, market (inc. partners) and competitors
• Input into the building of opportunity case for investments
• Collaborate with product managers with input to ensure that product roadmap are packed with customer value
• Evangelize and advocate for Banking and Payment solutions to be adopted across internal & external audience that place the customer at the heart of the value proposition
• Act as a go-to-person for product information
• Own + resolve product issues
• Work collaboratively with Product Engineering and Experience Design to ensure customer experience success

Skills, know-how and experience:
• An understanding of the Banking and Payments industry and regulation impacting it
• Experience of cloud and/or financial services products
• Experience of listening, probing and interpreting needs of various stakeholders
• An understanding of revenue drivers and third-party commercial frameworks
• Customer/partner listening and engagement
• Presenting and strong communication skills
• Multi-touch communication (From QA to analysts to the CEO to customers)
• Comfortable to operate in a matrix based organization and ambiguous mandate
• Previous FinTech experience
