Finance Operations Assistant (Premium) - FTC
Fixed Term Contract (12 Months )
Role Summary
The Finance Operations Assistant (Premium) supports the effective financial management of Tedaisy by implementing processes that ensure compliance with regulations and enhance operational accuracy and efficiency
Responsibilities
* Adhere to and promote the Company's financial procedures and compliance standards
* Assist with the clearance of current processing backlogs
* Execute the collection of unpaid premiums in line with company policies
* Monitor and manage failed payments, proactively contacting customers via email and SMS to arrange settlement before commencing policy cancellation procedures
* Administer policy cancellations for non-payment in accordance with company processes, ensuring customers are clearly informed of the implications
* Check customer premium payments and process refunds for overpayments accurately and promptly
* Maintain accurate financial records using internal systems and spreadsheets, ensuring all actions are well-documented
* Work closely with internal teams such as Customer Services, Retentions, and Claims to facilitate smooth financial operations
* Support automation initiatives to streamline premium collection and reconciliation processes
* Respond to financial queries from colleagues, clients, and stakeholders professionally and accurately
Experience, Qualifications & Skills
* Working knowledge of financial processes within the insurance industry (or similar), with an understanding of relevant regulations and compliance requirements
* Maths GSCE or equivalent
* Previous experience in a finance or insurance operations role (e.g. Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant, or similar) is preferable
* Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
* Confident in using Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet tools to manage and analyse data
* An analytical mindset with the ability to identify discrepancies and trends
* A proactive and collaborative approach to problem solving and team interaction
