The Role
You’ll play an intrinsic part of the Venquis growth. Your responsibility is to help the team to land and expand within strategic Venquis clients. This means working with various members of the sales team, creating target organisation charts and navigating the organisation (s) to engage senior decision-makers and set up qualified pitch meetings for Venquis solutions.
Specifically, you are responsible for the early stages of the sales pipeline, focusing on prospecting, lead qualification and outreach. You will generate new sales opportunities by connecting with potential clients and nurturing them until they are ready to be passed to a "closing sales representative" (usually a client solutions consultant).
Success means creating opportunities that convert to revenue (and progress clients along the Venquis client journey).
The platform that will support is HubSpot (though not exclusively), you will be able to use as an expert. As a SDR you will generate leads and build pipelines through outbound prospecting.
About you
* Experience of navigating organisations to establish sales pitches
* Communicating, influencing and selling to senior business contacts
* Financial services knowledge and confidence (Insurance & Investment Management ideally)
* Confident to work across multi locations
* Expertise with HubSpot (or equivalent)

Responsibilities
* Agree strategic clients and vision for growth.
* Work with senior solution sales consultants to create opportunities to grow within accounts
* map out target organisations with key decision makers identified.
* Meet & scope out organisations to set up pitches
* Secure and prepare qualified pitch meetings with senior leaders.
* Share market insights internally to support strategy.
* Build professional visibility on LinkedIn and via social selling.
* Act as a "superuser" on HubSpot
Experience:
* Experience of navigating organisations to establish sales pitches
* Financial services knowledge and confidence (Insurance & Investment Management ideally)
* Must have experience with HubSpot
* Must have experience as a Sales development representative.
* Must be confident in working in multi-locations
* Must demonstrate confidence, enthusiasm and the Venquis Values.
* 1–3 years of experience in sales or business development
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Confidence in cold outreach, objection handling, and qualification
* Familiarity with CRM platforms like HubSpot or Salesforce
* Ability to research and identify target prospects
* Experience scheduling meetings and discovery calls
* Self-motivated, target-driven, and resilient attitude
* Understanding of the sales funnel and lead nurturing
* Comfortable in fast-paced, high-volume environments
