Year 1 Teacher – Wigan (WN2)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-Time, Temporary (with potential to become permanent)
Salary: Pay-to-Scale, dependent on experience
A well-regarded primary school in the WN2 area is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join their supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity to help pupils make a smooth transition into Key Stage 1, developing their confidence and enthusiasm for learning through creative and well-structured teaching.

* A qualified teacher with QTS and experience in Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 1.
* A current Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
* A strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and how to support children’s progression from the Early Years Foundation Stage.
* A creative and adaptable teaching approach that encourages curiosity and builds core literacy and numeracy skills.
* A nurturing and patient teacher who supports pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development.
* A collaborative team player who works effectively with colleagues, parents, and carers.
