St James Surgery in Clacton are seeking an advanced nurse practitioner/practice matron to join our hardworking friendly team on a full-time basis, 37.5 hours per week. They will act within their professional boundaries to provide the best possible patient care. The position will include the following duties; Initial history taking. Clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care. Contact with patients is by telephone/video consultation, face to face appointments in the surgery and home visits. About the Candidate The successful candidate will demonstrate flexibility in attitude and behaviour. They will be keen to undertake new ways of working and delivering healthcare, committing to under-taking the professional development required to adapt to changing circumstances. Qualifications, skills and experience required: Professional registration NMC Demonstrate critical thinking in the clinical decision making process. Independent/supplementary nurse prescriber and have a consultation and assessment/diagnostic qualification. Evidence of on-going CPD. Advanced clinical assessment skills. Excellent communication skills. Ability to perform in stressful and complex situations. About Us We are a large, friendly hardworking surgery with our main surgery located in Clacton and a branch in St Osyth. We are an EMIS Web practice with a patient list size of 15,200 patients.
