6 weeks Leave withan additional 1 week for study leave

Main duties of the job
The post-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting.
Clinical responsibilities:
As agreed, the post-holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking/signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion
Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation
Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
Developing care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols
Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards
Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions
In general, the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.

You will complete our clinical team of which includes four remaining Partners, two other Salaried Doctors, two Paramedics, five Nurses with three as Nurse Prescribers and three HCAs. Excellent CPD is available locally and supported by the practice

Job responsibilities
To work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible forthe provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering anexcellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the GMS contract.Furthermore, the post-holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medicalpractice, contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading byexample, maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with themultidisciplinary team.
The followingare the core responsibilities of the salaried GP. There may be on occasion, arequirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors suchas workload and staffing levels:
a. Thedelivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population
b. Theprovision of services commensurate with the GMS contract
c. Genericprescribing adhering to local and national guidance
d. Effectivemanagement of long-term conditions
e. Processingof administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescriptionrequests and other associated administrative tasks
f. Ona rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty doctor roles
g. Maintainaccurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy andguidance
h. Workingcollaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload
i. Adhereto best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process
j. Contributeto the successful implementation of continuous improvement and qualityinitiatives within the practice
k. Acceptdelegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas) or the QOF
l. Attendand contribute effectively to practice meetings as required
m. Contributeeffective to the development and maintenance of the practice including;clinical governance, training, financial management and HR
n. Ensurecompliance with the appraisal process
o. Prepareand complete the revalidation process

In addition tothe primary responsibilities, the salaried GP may be requested to:
a. Participatein practice audits as requested by the audit lead
b. Participatein local initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient care
c. Participate in thereview of significant and near-miss events applying a structured approach root cause analysis (RCA)
