The School and Role
Are you a recent graduate looking to take your first step into teaching?
A thriving secondary academy in York is seeking a motivated Graduate Teacher (Cover Supervisor) to join their supportive team from November 2025.
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll supervise classes across a range of subjects, ensuring that pupils remain engaged and on task during teacher absence. You won’t need to be a subject expert — your focus will be on delivering pre-set lessons and maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates considering teacher training in the future. Full training and ongoing support will be provided by Vision for Education.
Conveniently located near York city centre, it’s easily accessible by public transport.

1. A degree or A-Level education (or equivalent)
2. An interest in working in education and inspiring young people
3. A resilient, adaptable, and motivated personality
