37 Hours Per Week, Monday to Thursday 8.30-5pm and Friday 8.30-4.30pm (1 hour for lunch).

£27,432 to £31,771 Per Annum Depending on Qualifications and Experience

Bishop Burton College is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable individual to join our Animal Science Department as a Lecturer in Animal Management. We are looking for professionals from a wide range of animal-related and science-based backgrounds to join our team and inspire the next generation of learners.

Whether you're a Veterinary Nurse, Zoo Keeper, Dog Trainer, Riding Instructor, Laboratory Technician, Biologist, Ecologist, Wildlife Rehabilitator, or simply someone with a strong passion for animals, your experience could make a real difference in education. We also welcome applications from those with a background in teaching or lecturing in any subject who are now looking to specialise in animal science. This is an excellent opportunity for someone taking their first step into teaching — no formal teaching qualification is required. While some teaching or coaching experience would be advantageous, what matters most is your subject knowledge, industry insight, and enthusiasm for working with young people.

You’ll bring a collaborative and proactive approach, use technology to enhance learning, and help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment. As part of a supportive team, you’ll receive guidance and development opportunities to grow your teaching skills and career in education. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the future of animal management professionals while building your own journey in a dynamic college setting.
