Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Humanities Teacher to join our dedicated team at Rhodes Wood Hospital School. This is a rare and rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference by teaching small groups of young people with eating disorders and a range of social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. Many of our students are highly academic, and we are proud to provide a stimulating and supportive learning environment that enables them to achieve and excel. About The Role
* Teach small groups of students across KS3–KS5, adapting learning to meet individual needs.
* Lead on the planning and delivery of a broad and engaging Humanities curriculum (History, Geography, RE, or related disciplines).
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, therapists, and hospital staff to provide a joined-up approach to education and wellbeing.
* Foster a positive, safe, and supportive classroom environment that encourages resilience, academic progress, and personal growth.
About You
* QTS/QTLS (Humanities specialism desirable).
* Able to deliver Humanities subjects confidently up to GCSE level.
* Experience in SEMH/SEND, alternative provision, or hospital school settings is highly desirable.
* Resilient, creative, and committed to inclusive education.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire highly able learners.
