SEN Teaching Assistant – Chigwell
Location: Chigwell
Start Date: ASAP or September 2026
Contract: Full-time
Vision for Education are currently recruiting a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a welcoming and inclusive school in Thurrock.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with additional needs and making a real difference in their educational journey.
The Role:
1. Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN (including ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties)
2. Support the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
3. Help manage behaviour and promote positive engagement in the classroom
4. Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
5. Work closely with the SENCO and wider school staff to implement support plans
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
6. Experience working with children with SEN (school, care, or similar setting)
7. A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
8. Strong communication and teamwork skills
9. A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
10. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
