Electrical Design Engineer

Role Details:
As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you’ll support the design, assessment, and substantiation of electrical systems for nuclear facilities in Glasgow. This includes managing design documentation, leading design changes, and contributing to safety case development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and manage electrical design substantiation documents
2. Lead design changes and concessions
3. Present to nuclear safety committees
4. Produce EIMT schedules and safety reports
5. Conduct technical reviews and support safety case submissions
6. Provide expert advice across multi-discipline projects
What we’re looking For
Essential:
7. Electrical engineering experience (HV up to kV or strong LV with HV exposure)
8. Knowledge of UK/EU design standards
9. Experience across design and construction phases
10. HNC or equivalent + Incorporated Engineer status
Desirable:
11. Experience in nuclear or high-hazard environments
12. Familiarity with HAZID/HAZOP and safety case development
13. Degree and/or Chartered Engineer status
Qualifications:
Essential
14. Minimum HNC or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
15. Incorporated Engineer status or equivalent experience.
Desirable
16. Degree in Engineering
17. Chartered Engineering Status
