Salary: £40,000 - 40,000 per year Requirements: Experience as a Technical Author in an engineering or technical environment. Understanding of engineering principles and technical terminology. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in documentation tools (nice to have: Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare). Proficient in MS Office. Knowledge of standards such as S1000D. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects. Requirement to understand and take on responsibility for S1000D documentation. UK Security Clearance required. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, maintenance guides, and service bulletins. Translate complex engineering concepts into clear, concise language, using simplified technical English. Ensure all documentation complies with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with design and support teams to gather technical data and verify accuracy. Manage document revisions and configuration control throughout the product lifecycle. Support digital content creation, including interactive manuals and online help systems. Engage and develop skills across engineering as part of the role.
