We're working with a well-established charity that provides specialist support services to victims and survivors of abuse across the Black Country. This organisation is known for its trauma-informed, holistic approach and its commitment to empowering individuals affected by domestic violence. Their Community Domestic Abuse Support Service operates across Sandwell, Dudley, and Walsall, offering tailored, high-impact support to those at high risk of harm.
Your new role
As an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA), you'll deliver frontline support to victims of domestic abuse, focusing on those at high risk. You'll assess risk, develop safety plans, and advocate for clients within a multi-agency framework, including representing them at MARAC (Multi-agency Risk Assessment Conferences). You'll provide both one-to-one and group support, helping victims understand the dynamics of abuse and regain control of their lives.This is a full-time, office-based role (Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm), located in Sandwell. Hybrid working is not available.
What you'll need to succeed
IDVA qualification and/or direct experience in managing a case load and supporting vulnerable clients.
Experience managing complex casework and safeguarding concerns.
Strong knowledge of domestic abuse indicators, risk assessment, and safety planning.
Excellent communication and advocacy skills, especially with vulnerable groups.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multi-agency settings.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Eligibility to work in the UK.

Salary: £24,310 - £27,751 (dependent on experience and qualifications).
