Job Description
Key responsibilities of the Financial Accountant:
3. General ledger and balance sheet management including reconciliations
4. Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports
5. Ownership of journal process
6. Support the Accounting & Finance department in financial analysis and tax preparation
7. Engage in regulatory compliance duties
8. Participate in comprehensive training and mentorship programmes
9. Liaise with central finance to resolve any queries
10. Preparation of supporting information for tax compliance activities (VAT, CT etc)
11. Undertake regular analysis of key cost lines (e.g. agency spend, overtime, professional fees, etc)
The Successful Applicant
The successful Financial Accountant will have:
12. Strong academic background
13. AAT level 4
14. Strong numerical and analytical skills
15. The ability to work well within a team
16. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
17. A proactive approach to learning and professional development
