Role Overview

You will be responsible for carrying out day-to-day inspections using both welding inspection and NDT methods to the satisfaction of the client while keeping the Site Manager and General Manager informed of job status and progress.


Key Responsibilities

* Perform daily inspection activities using both welding inspection and NDT techniques (conventional and advanced) to client satisfaction
* Maintain clear communication with the Site Manager and/or General Manager regarding project status and progress
* Take accountability for all assigned project activities to ensure safe, efficient, and timely completion within budget
* Maintain accurate timesheets and complete all necessary documentation
* Stay current with all company, client, and legislative requirements affecting NDT techniques, ensuring compliance in all work
* Verify that all equipment and consumables are calibrated and within validity prior to use
* Produce comprehensive inspection reports in line with company quality control procedures and the Applus+ NDT Reporting Procedure, submitting reports to the client on time
* Support training and mentoring of less experienced team members
* Provide management with updated copies of newly acquired certifications
* Adhere to the Inspector Declaration Form to ensure independence, impartiality, and integrity
* Understand and comply with the Letter of Authorization Acknowledgement and associated authorization limits as defined by Applus+ UK Ltd
* Perform other tasks as assigned by your line manager


Essential Qualifications

* EN4179 / NAS 410 Level 2 in DPI or MPI
* Provide documentary evidence of completed training and minimum required on-the-job experience in accordance with EN4179


Desirable Qualifications

* Knowledge of Applus+ UK services and operational processes
* Additional NDT or inspection certifications will be advantageous
