An exciting opportunity is available for a Technical Administration Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing comprehensive administrative support to the Engineering Group, assisting with day-to-day tasks such as maintaining accurate records, preparing reports and documentation, and ensuring queries are handled promptly and professionally.
Responsibilities include:
1. Support the Engineering Group with general administration and operational tasks.
2. Assist with engineering part database management, including creating new parts and uploading documents.
3. Support compilation of documentation and document control for prototype development, such as Bills of Materials and Product Family Trees.
4. Arrange facilities bookings for meetings with the team and external partners.
5. Ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards like RoHS, Conflict Minerals, and Country of Origin.
6. Coordinate with suppliers for quotations and delivery updates on prototypes and small builds.
7. Collaborate with other departments on prototype builds, re-work, and inspections.
8. Manage material dispatch and store-out processes.
9. Assist in preparing engineering project documents in line with NPI procedures.
10. Create and manage Engineering Change Requests, Orders, Concessions, and Permits.
11. Participate in office maintenance and housekeeping.
12. Use basic CAD features for administrative design support, such as creating component footprints and simple drawings.
13. Handle technical documentation, including datasheets and regulatory information.
14. Draft and proofread documents like work instructions and technical reports.
15. Assist in organizing meetings, including recording minutes and follow-up actions.
16. Perform other reasonable tasks as needed.
Candidate Profile:
* Positive, friendly, and proactive attitude.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail.
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in an administrative role.
* Experience working in an engineering environment or with procedural demands.
* Familiarity with technical or complex documentation.
* Experience with databases and product or productivity management systems.
* Advanced skills in MS Office, especially Excel and Word.
* Willingness to undertake further training if required.
* Comfortable handling technical information.
* Ability to obtain UK security clearance.
Desirable Qualifications:
