Learning Support Worker (30 Hours per Week)

Looking for a rewarding role with hours that fit around your life?

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Learning Support Worker to join our team for 30 hours per week, working Monday to Friday, 9am–4pm, with occasional weekend work. Rotas are usually planned one month in advance, although there may also be opportunities for additional hours to help cover staff absences.

About the Role

This is a varied and rewarding position supporting people both at our learning centre in Kennington, Oxfordshire, and out and about through one-to-one support.

We are particularly looking for someone who can bring creativity, energy, and confidence in the following areas:

Dance

Every Tuesday we support a group of people who are passionate about dance. The role could include leading a weekly dance session and exploring opportunities to collaborate with local community dance groups.

Social Media
We want to celebrate and share the fantastic things people achieve at the learning centre and in the local area. We are looking for someone who feels confident creating and posting content on social media.

What Else Could You Be Doing?

No two days are the same. Activities may include:

* Supported employment
* Arts and crafts
* Snooker
* Baking
* Drama
* Music
* Dance
* Horticulture
* Community activities and outings
* Swimming

We are looking for creative people with interests and hobbies they would love to share. Dance and social media skills are especially important for this role, but we would also love to hear from you if you are a visual artist, musician, gardener, or someone passionate about sport and movement.

The people we support are looking for connection, creativity, and purpose. Could you be the person to help make that happen?

About you

Experience is not essential. Often people join us from the hospitality or retail sector and find their skills adapt well. As long as you have the passion and drive to make a real difference, we can teach you the rest.

You can choose whether you would like to be a full-time, part-time or relief support worker and at interview we can discuss how many hours you are ideally looking to work. As activities take place in the daytime, evenings, weekends and bank holidays, flexibility would be desirable.

Have a UK manual Driving licence, our learners like to be on the move.
