Evolve are partnering with a well-respected independent pharmacy who are seeking a passionate and experienced Superintendent Pharmacist to join their team. This is an opportunity to take full professional responsibility, shape the delivery of both NHS and private services, and make a real impact within the community, with the support of a dedicated team.
This is a full time position based in Bonnyrigg working Mon – Fri (9am-5:30pm) with the optional choice of working Saturdays (9am-1pm) with an additional day off in the week.

Ideal Requirements for a Superintendent Pharmacist
* Step into a leadership role as a GPhC-registered Pharmacist, eligible to be named as Superintendent, with the chance to shape the future of the pharmacy.
* Bring your expertise to the forefront with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in pharmacy leadership or management, and see your skills truly make an impact.
* Balance care with strategy—combine a patient-first mindset with strong clinical and business acumen to deliver both exceptional outcomes and sustainable growth.
* Advance your career further with an Independent Prescriber (IP) qualification—preferred but not essential, as we’ll fully support the right candidate in achieving it.
Role Responsibilities for a Superintendent Pharmacist
* Take the lead with full legal and professional responsibility for the pharmacy’s operations, ensuring excellence in line with GPhC standards, NHS regulations, and all relevant legislation.
* Drive smooth day-to-day operations by overseeing prescription services, controlled drugs, SOPs, stock control, and supplier partnerships—keeping everything running efficiently and safely.
* Shape the future of patient care by introducing innovative private services such as vaccinations and clinical offerings, expanding the pharmacy’s impact within the community.
* Create a positive culture where staff feel supported, patients feel welcome, and university placement students are inspired to develop their skills.
