Responsibilities:
* Taking ownership of reported technical issues and leading resolutions via the OMODA & JAECOO technical support system.
* Providing field technical support to OMODA & JAECOO dealer network and creating visit reports.
* Managing multiple complex open cases simultaneously.
* Escalating unresolved cases to appropriate engineering teams for swift, customer-focused solutions.
* Liaising with Quality Improvement to address product quality issues.
* Collaborating with Customer Experience team on customer complaints related to the product.
* Contributing to the development of the OMODA & JAECOO technical support system.
* Reviewing technical documentation from HQ for applicability to the UK market and identifying translation needs.
* Creating technical presentations and seminars for technicians, sharing best practices across the dealer network.
* Updating technical service bulletins, troubleshooting guides, and training materials.
* Supporting the Warranty Team by verifying technical failures and offering expert recommendations.
* Performing other relevant duties as required.
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical support role within the automotive sector.
* A formal technical or engineering qualification, Master Technician status, or equivalent experience.
* Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
* Experience with diagnostic tools and engineering logging equipment.
* Ability to influence and engage at all levels to maximize Aftersales voice.
* Willingness to travel and stay away from home as needed.
* Training in hybrid and electric vehicle systems is considered essential by IMI.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including electrical diagrams.
* Customer-focused attitude at all times.
* Proficiency in written and spoken English.
