Our client is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their machine tool automation company based in Milton Keynes. The role is primarily field-based, involving travel across the UK and Ireland. Please only apply if you are willing and able to travel, including overnight stays.

About the role
As a Field Service Engineer, you will interact directly with customers and colleagues, requiring confidence and excellent communication skills. A comprehensive training program will be provided on the installation and servicing of all products before field deployment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
1. Installing, fault-finding, and repairing the full range of company products
2. Training customers on product usage
3. Providing quality customer support
4. Assisting customers and team members with technical issues, via phone or face-to-face
5. Completing accurate records of visits, including service sheets, time logs, and vehicle logs
About you
The ideal candidate should have or demonstrate:
* An interest in mechanical and electrical engineering
* Familiarity with measuring equipment
* The ability to handle physically demanding work
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Flexibility with working hours and willingness to stay overnight when needed
* A systematic and logical approach to tasks and problem-solving
* Attention to detail
* The ability to work independently with limited supervision
* Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe work environment in line with Health & Safety standards
* Good time management skills
* IT literacy
* A valid UK driving license and over 25 years old (for van insurance purposes)
Hours & Rewards
