Equans is seeking a Digital Operations Centre Engineer to join our Digital team in Bellshill, Glasgow, on a permanent basis. These are full-time roles working 37.5 hours per week. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package.
Reporting to the Remote Desk Manager, the Digital Operations Centre Engineer will be responsible for providing solutions to reactive BMS issues, implementing energy efficiency software and standards, and offering BMS technical assistance to both skilled and non-skilled engineers and customers. The role requires an innovative and agile approach to the implementation and use of BMS products across our customer base.
Key activities
* Remotely manage multiple BMS types for various customers.
* Perform excess energy investigations as needed.
* Understand and manage multiple BMS types.
* Make software changes on multiple system types when required.
* Provide training and assistance to on-site staff.
* Drive efficiency and change within large customer portfolios.
* Coordinate with the Smart Buildings team to maintain cohesion between remote and on-site work.
* Adhere to customer specifications for HVAC and other equipment.
* Liaise with customers to ensure correct operation of BMS.
* Maintain accurate records of work carried out.
* Generate reports on control systems for analysis by us or the customer.
* Integrate third-party systems.

Who are we looking for?
* Degree or equivalent experience
* Experience with systems like Tridium Niagara 4, Trend, Siemens
* Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
* Understanding of control strategies and HVAC systems
* Technical training in BMS industry (BCIA or manufacturer courses)
* Proficiency in IT tools such as Microsoft Office
