Salary: 40,000 - 45,000 based on experience
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Quality Inspector to join our team in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This is a hands‑on leadership role, combining technical inspection expertise with responsibility for developing and guiding the Inspection team.
Key duties include:
* Leading and developing the Inspection team
* Carrying out first‑off and final inspections
* Performing NDT dye penetrant testing on component parts and full assemblies
* Completing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) where required
* Programming and operating Faro Arm and CMM measuring equipment
* Interpreting complex engineering drawings and geometric tolerances
* Managing NCRs, including investigation and resolution
* Calibrating inspection and measurement equipment
* Inspecting components from internal production and external suppliers
* Supporting non‑conformance investigations and technical issue resolution
* Ensuring products are released in line with customer inspection requirements, with full supporting documentation
* Maintaining accurate inspection records and high standards of housekeeping
* Attending progress meetings and liaising with customers and internal stakeholders
* Occasional travel to customer premises as required
Essential requirements:
* Minimum of 5 years’ quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
* NDT Dye Penetrant Testing certification to Level 2
* Proven experience leading or mentoring inspection teams
* Experience programming and using Faro Arm measuring equipment (scanning and probing)
* Experience programming and operating CMMs
* Confident using hand‑held measuring equipment
* Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and geometric tolerances
* Experience producing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)
* Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
Desirable:
* Experience working within an ISO 9001 quality environment
* Experience using ERP systems (M1 preferred)
