Post Title: Specialist Physiotherapist
Location: Whytermans Brae Hospital, Kirkcaldy, Community Rehabilitation Team
Salary/Banding: Band 6
Hours: 1.0wte (36 hrs)
An opportunity has arisen for a Physiotherapist to join our Community Rehabilitation Team based in Whytermans Brae Hospital, Kirkcaldy.
Responsibilities
* Assess and treat adults, primarily older people, in their own homes, a homely setting or as an outpatient.
* Provide community rehabilitation, prevent unnecessary admission, support the earliest possible discharge from hospital, and enable patients to remain as independent as possible in their homes.
* Provide supervision and support to junior staff at Band 6 level.
* May be required to work in one of the other community hospital sites.
* Travel throughout the area as part of a community-based post.
Qualifications
* Degree in Physiotherapy and registration with the HCPC.
* Experience working within the NHS with adult patients, mainly older people.
* Assessment and treatment knowledge and skills appropriate to older adult population.
* Evidence of continuous professional development appropriate for Band 6.
* Evidence of involvement in audit and service development.
* Experience supervising junior staff for Band 6 level.
