Medical Secretary – Heart Failure
* Fixed‑term/secondment until 31 March 2026.

Join Glan Clwyd Hospital an experienced, proactive Medical Secretary supporting the Heart Failure Nursing team.
Main Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative duties to the Heart Failure Nurses.
* Type accurately and maintain a high standard of documentation.
* Communicate professionally with patients, staff and external services.
* Represent the department with due professionalism in a busy environment.
* Assist with the administrative needs of the clinical unit, including minute‑taking where appropriate.
Essential Criteria
* NVQ Business Administration L3 or equivalent experience.
* Proficient user of Microsoft Word (RSA/OCR Level 2 or equivalent).
* IT qualification (CLAIT plus / ECDL or equivalent).
* Knowledge of a range of administrative processes and experience of typing.
* Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills at all levels.
* Experience of working in a busy office environment or within the NHS (desirable).
* Desirable: AMSPAR – City & Guilds L3; NVQ Customer Service L3; minute‑taking skills; knowledge of NHS organisations and medical terminology.
