The Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Manager role supports Bupa’s purpose by ensuring our people have the right tools and data to manage risk effectively across Group Functions, Bupa UK, and APAC. The role enables leaders to make better decisions that result in better outcomes for our customers and colleagues.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with technology teams and external suppliers to robustly manage GRC tools that meet user needs.
* Act as the main point of contact for GRC Leads across Group Functions, Bupa UK and APAC for day‑to‑day queries, support and system performance.
* Plan and manage system changes, ensuring deployments are controlled, tested and implemented according to Bupa standards.
* Coordinate planned downtime to minimise disruption as far as possible.
* Engage with users to understand business needs and ensure that GRC tooling and risk‑management activity support good risk outcomes.
* Support the planning and deployment of new functionality, data and system integrations, and module roll‑outs.
* Create and improve training materials so business units can train users and maximise GRC tool usage.
* Collaborate with the Data & Analytics team to extract data for MI and reporting, and build and maintain Power BI dashboards, including data modelling and DAX.
* Explore how new and emerging AI/LLM capabilities can enhance risk insight and reporting.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in a GRC role, risk management, or managing a risk and controls platform.
* Hands‑on experience with SAI360 (preferred) or a similar GRC system.
* Experience running a business‑critical system day‑to‑day (incident management, availability, access management, release/change processes).
* Strong stakeholder skills and confidence to work with senior leaders and a wide range of global users.
* Ability to prioritise competing work and keep people informed with clear updates.
* Strong Power BI skills, including data modelling and DAX.
* Understanding of data pipelines and ETL, with a focus on secure data handling.
* Ideally, experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, or similar data engineering tools.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., IRM, PRM, FRM, Microsoft Azure Data Engineer, or Power BI certification) are welcome but not essential if equivalent experience exists.
