We’re looking for an exceptional Divisional Head of HSE to lead, develop and continuously improve our Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) function across the Access & Safety and Building Access Specialists (BAS) divisions. Job Overview The Divisional Head of HSE (Access & Safety & BAS) will lead and develop the Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) function across two of PTSG’s key divisions. This strategic leadership role combines hands-on operational oversight with long-term cultural development — ensuring that all activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with Group standards and UK legislation. Acting as a trusted partner to divisional and operational leaders, the role will embed a proactive, behaviour-led safety culture aligned with the “PTSG Way.” The successful candidate will champion continuous improvement, governance, and data-driven decision-making while leading the digital transformation of HSEQ systems. With a strong focus on leadership visibility, collaboration, and team development, the Divisional Head of HSE will be instrumental in shaping PTSG’s future safety performance and supporting its ongoing growth and innovation across the UK. Your job will include: Lead the divisional HSEQ strategy in alignment with Group objectives. Champion a proactive, behaviour-led safety culture that embodies the “PTSG Way.” Provide visible leadership and guidance to divisional and operational management teams. Drive governance, audits, and risk controls to safeguard operational performance and reputation. Lead and report on divisional HSEQ metrics – analysing data, identifying trends, and driving improvement. Support investigations, embed lessons learned, and promote continuous improvement. Champion the rollout of digital HSEQ platforms, ensuring integration of reporting, inspections, and competence management. Collaborate closely with operational leaders to embed safety as an enabler of performance. Mentor and develop a team of HSE professionals, promoting knowledge sharing and capability building across the divisions. Support on the development and implementation of the Integrated Management System and ensure robust governance with ISO 45001, 14001 and 9001. What are we looking for? Proven senior leadership experience within Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality, ideally in multi-service or technical sectors. Expert knowledge of UK HSE legislation, risk management, and compliance frameworks. Experience delivering cultural and behavioural change across large or mobile workforces. Strong analytical, data-driven mindset and excellent reporting skills. NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent Level 6) and Chartered IOSH Membership (CMIOSH) or working towards. Other NEBOSH qualifications (Construction, Fire or Environmental) Familiarity with ISO 45001, 14001, and 9001 standards. Desirable: Experience in powered access, fall protection, electrical or building safety sectors. Exposure to digital HSEQ platforms. Environmental or Quality management qualification (IEMA/IRCA).
