Role Description
This is a permanent, full-time role for a Technical Support Specialist based on-site in Hemel Hempstead and with regular attendance at customer sites and occasionally at exhibitions. Reporting to the Technical Director, the Technical Support Specialist will handle tasks such as providing technical assistance to clients, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, analysing technical problems, and ensuring customer satisfaction through outstanding support. The role involves responding to customer inquiries, resolving challenges, and maintaining excellent service standards.
* Installation and training of all Colourbyte solutions including printers, cutters, laminators, heat presses & RIPS.
* Showroom, on-site and exhibition demonstrations of all hardware and software and printing of samples from customer files to assist the sales department.
* Testing and colour profiling of new media both in the showroom and on customer sites. Producing A4 printed samples of Colourbyte media for sales team to promote.
* Testing of new hardware and keeping up do date with software releases from ONYX, EFI, CADLINK, and printers from INKTEC MIMAKI, MUTOH, EPSON, CANON & HP.
* Maintaining showroom printers to ensure they are always ready for demonstration purposes.
* First line technical support on hardware, related software rips, colour profiling issues and remote dial in support.
Qualifications and Experience
* Proven experience of Technical
Support and Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
* Experience with wide-format printers, colour management software and Rips.

Core hours are 9-5.30, Monday to Friday
* Salary £35,000 with potential flexibility for an exceptional candidate.
