What you need to know about the role
Reporting to the Plant Manager you will be responsible for leading all activities associated with manufacturing and development within your specific area of control. You will also be required to contribute to other areas by partaking in departmental discussions, assist/support other areas as required.
This is a key role within the which will see you managing the departmental process and acting as a process expert; providing advice, guidance and support as necessary.
You will be the expert, ensuring that safe and efficient operational procedures are in place to meet customer and legislative requirements.
What we need to know about you
This role requires a strong people manager, able to make decisions and resolve issues, with the drive and commitment to not only maintain standards, but to address problems by utilising the ethos of continuous improvement through the efforts of your team.
You should ideally be qualified to degree level, in an appropriate process/engineering discipline, or have equivalent experience. Individuals who can show evidence of process understanding, people management and successful continuous improvement initiatives are also encouraged to apply.
You need to have effective interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to motivate teams and plan and organise the deployment of resources. A sound working knowledge of current safety and environmental practices is also required.
