Logistics Team Leadership
* Lead the Logistics Team in all activities including management and distribution of workload, attending meetings, and required delegation.
* Maintain core Standard Operating Procedures for all aspects of the site-specific Logistics functions.
* Own Logistics Right First Time (RFT) and metrics, including completion of QRs and CAPAs.
* Proactively handle business and client priorities.
* Ensure all relevant order-related paperwork is completed in accordance with regulatory requirements.
* Maintain reasonable exposure to clients and governing bodies.
* Support in developing an organizational understanding of and adherence to Import and Export control regulations.
Resource Management
* Lead department tier accountability meetings.
* Ensure adherence to schedule for the department.
* Allocate and optimize resources, including cross-functional capability and deployment to meet schedule demand.
* Support, coach, and mentor the team in applying PPI/Lean tools to improve process efficiencies and achieve business objectives.
* Maintain, trend, and report departmental critical metrics (Pacing boards).
Qualifications
* Supervisory/Team Leader experience of leading teams (TFS training provided).
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience working within a GMP or highly regulated operational environment such as manufacturing, warehouse, factory, packaging, or production line.
* Experience in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
* Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and prioritize effectively.
* IOSH managing safely certification (training provided).
* Proficient in the use of computer systems and automated equipment.
* Understanding of ERP and business-specific computer systems.
* Strong communication skills (verbal & written) – GCSE English Grade C / 4 or equivalent.
* Good numeracy skills – GCSE Mathematics Grade C / 4 or equivalent.
* Ability to work within various temperatures including ambient (15°C–25°C), cold (2°C–8°C).
* Lean/Six Sigma Certified or equivalent experience (desirable).
Safety & Quality
* Maintain good housekeeping and promote a safe working environment.
* Lead safety and quality initiatives, including risk and incident management, investigations, and corrective actions.
* Drive a reporting culture, ensuring compliance and monitoring through management systems.
* Manage activities and personnel within the area of ownership, including permits to work under safe systems.
* Complete operational plans in accordance with statutory, regulatory, and company policies.
* Update local processes and procedures as required, with appropriate team training.
