Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Theatre Practitioner/Registered Nurse at Caithness General Hospital. Surgery encompasses day case elective general surgery, cataracts, oculoplastics, dentals, gynaecology and endoscopy.
We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic and motivated registered nurse to provide an efficient and high quality theatre service. This is an excellent opportunity to work within various specialities in a Rural General Hospital. The successful applicant will be good team player with excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in this field of nursing.
Experience within the peri-operative care setting is desirable. The successful candidates will be given the opportunity to increase their clinical skills to be able to provide and promote high standards of patient care. We would welcome applications from newly qualified registered nurses who are seeking to build a career pathway in theatre services.
Responsibilities
* Provide an efficient and high quality theatre service as a registered nurse in peri-operative care.
* Work within various specialities in a Rural General Hospital.
* Demonstrate good teamwork and communication skills with a genuine interest in this field of nursing.
* Contribute to maintaining high standards of patient care and develop clinical skills in peri-operative care.
Qualifications and experience
* Registered Nurse with current registration; peri-operative care experience is desirable.

Details
* Location: Caithness General Hospital, Wick, Scotland
* Contract: Permanent, full-time 37 hours per week; Monday to Friday, shifts subject to service requirements; includes overnight and weekend on-call rotation; driver required.
* Job share and part-time hours may be considered.
