We are looking for a skilled and motivated Microbiology Biomedical Scientist to join our client’s team in Liverpool, Merseyside. As a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist, you will play a vital role in our microbiology laboratory, contributing to the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases. What will your responsibilities be:
In this role, the Biomedical Scientist will be responsible for performing a range of microbiological tests and analyses to support the diagnosis and management of infectious diseases. Duties include processing and analysing patient samples, maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment, and ensuring accurate documentation of results. The scientist will also participate in quality control and assurance activities, adhere to health and safety protocols, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality laboratory services. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards are essential for ensuring the reliability and accuracy of test results.
Qualifications and Experiences:
* Degree in Biomedical Science or a related field
* HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist
* Experience in a microbiology laboratory setting
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent organisational and time management abilities
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
* Knowledge of laboratory health and safety protocols
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
