What You Will Work On
As a Software QA Engineer at Camascope, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality of our products. You’ll design and execute manual tests, analyze test results, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, high-quality solutions. Additionally, you will actively contribute to our automation efforts by identifying key test cases for automation and implementing automated scripts to enhance efficiency and testing coverage. As part of a dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvements in our QA processes and, if you have team leadership experience, support and guide junior members.
Responsibilities
* Execute functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing on our core products.
* Design, document, and maintain test cases, test plans, and test scripts for both manual and automation testing, and identify test cases suitable for automation to improve efficiency.
* Develop and execute automation scripts for prioritized test cases, collaborating closely with developers to integrate automation into our test strategy.
* Collaborate closely with the support team to reproduce and troubleshoot customer issues, providing clear and actionable feedback to developers.
* Identify and document defects, and work closely with developers and product managers to resolve issues.
* Contribute to the estimation and planning of testing timelines and proactively manage and prioritize your workload in line with the release schedule.
* Contribute to the development and improvement of QA best practices and processes, ensuring testing aligns with both current and long-term goals.
* Perform thorough regression testing for new releases, ensuring quality across all iterations.
* Collaborate with engineering and product teams to understand requirements and define both manual and automation test coverage throughout the product lifecycle.
* If experienced, provide leadership and mentorship to junior QA team members.
Requirements
* Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar.
* 3+ years of experience in manual software testing, with a solid understanding of QA methodologies and best practices.
* Proven experience with web and mobile application testing, including cross-platform testing.
* Familiarity with identifying and developing test cases suitable for automation, and contributing to automation efforts as part of the testing lifecycle.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a focus on quality and usability.
* Familiarity with defect tracking tools (such as JIRA) and test case management software.
* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Bonus Points For
* Team leadership experience: previous experience as a QA lead or team lead, with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
* Prior experience in healthcare or pharmacy technology.
* Experience with automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Appium, with a basic understanding of automation scripting.
* Previous experience in a startup or fast-growing tech company.
