This is a live-in position requiring a self‑motivated candidate to accompany, support and promote the wellbeing of young people (16‑21 yrs) living in supported accommodation.
This is a live-in role as defined by HMRC as unmeasured work.
Responsibilities
* Offering personalised support and safeguarding young people to develop needed life skills including cooking, budgeting, healthy living, access to education, training, employment etc.
* Accompanying young people to appointments.
* Promoting the physical and emotional wellbeing of the service user.
* Supporting the young person to access social activities and make the right choices.
* Understanding and managing challenging behaviours that young people may present.
* Working in partnership with social workers and other external agencies (CAMHS, GP, Youth Offending Service, etc.).
* Adhering to organisational policies and procedures.
* Willing to work nights and weekends per rota, including live‑in for a minimum of 4 days per week (subject to availability and personal needs).
Qualifications
* Minimum Level 3 NVQ in Social Care or equivalent.
* Must possess Level 3 functional skills (ICT, literacy, and numeracy) and be willing to learn.
* Employment offer subject to Enhanced DBS/Police check and satisfactory references.
