Position Details
This is a permanent, full-time position with a Monday to Friday shift pattern.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be part of the business support team, providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Specialist Children’s Services multidisciplinary team, including Paediatricians, Nursing, OT, Physio, and SLT. The role involves independent work and understanding of the service, supervising daily administrative activities, and ensuring the team's smooth operation.
Responsibilities
1. Supervise the day-to-day administration of the team, ensuring efficiency.
2. Supervise Band 2 and 3 staff within the service.
3. Potentially oversee facility/site management, ensuring health & safety legislation and policies are upheld to maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
4. Provide secretarial and administrative duties, demonstrating competency in computer packages, supported by experience or formal qualifications such as ECDL, HNC in Secretarial Studies or Business Administration, SVQ Level 3, or equivalent practical experience.
5. Maintain good knowledge of office procedures and systems, with prior experience in a secretarial or administrative role.
