What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for a skilled and empathetic Learning Coach to provide tailored support to a group of students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) across different year groups. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to enable these students to access the curriculum and develop essential life skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing one-to-one and small group support to EHCP students across a range of subjects and activities.
* Building strong relationships with students, creating a supportive and trusting environment.
* Adapting support strategies to meet the individual needs of each student, focusing on accessing the curriculum rather than direct teaching.
* Promoting independence, metacognitive, and self‑advocacy skills in students.
* Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement effective support plans.
* Monitoring student progress and providing regular feedback to senior members of the Learning Support Team, including the SENCO.
* Contributing to the overall inclusive ethos of the school.
