About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on Head Chef / Kitchen Manager to lead our kitchen with confidence, care, and creativity. This is a pivotal role at the heart of daily service, keeping quality high, service smooth, and the team motivated. You'll set the tone for pace, consistency, and pride, while also shaping the future of our menu and kitchen culture.
What You'll Be Doing
* Leading and managing the day-to-day kitchen operation with calm authority
* Ensuring every dish leaves the pass with consistency, quality, and pride
* Overseeing prep and service while training and supporting the team
* Managing stock, placing orders, and controlling waste
* Keeping the kitchen spotless, safe, and efficient
* Working closely with FOH to deliver a seamless guest experience
* Taking an active role in menu development and seasonal specials
* Bringing energy, ideas, and professionalism to the kitchen team
What We're Looking For
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a Head Chef, Kitchen Manager role is ESSENTIAL
* Experience with Japanese or Asian cuisine is a huge advantage
* A confident, supportive leader who can motivate and develop others
* Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food hygiene standards
* Calm, organised, and focused during busy services
* Passionate about food, teamwork, and high standards
* Someone who wants to be part of a close-knit team and a Leeds institution, not just clock in and out
