Salary: £90–£100 per day
Salary dependent on experience and qualifications. Higher rates are reserved for candidates with substantial experience and/or relevant training such a recognised Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent). Pay is determined in line with school expectations and Agency Worker Regulations (AWR), where applicable.
Teach Now is seeking three dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistants to join a specialist school in Watford supporting pupils with complex learning needs, including autism, communication difficulties and social, emotional and behavioural needs.
This role is ideal for someone who is patient, reliable and passionate about supporting children with additional needs, and who understands the importance of consistency, structure and positive relationships for students who rely on trusted adults throughout the school day.
The Role
• Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups within the classroom
• Assist students with communication needs, including verbal and non-verbal learners
• Provide behaviour and emotional support to help pupils regulate and engage with learning
• Encourage social development, independence and life skills
• Work closely with teachers and specialists to support individual learning plans
Requirements
• Experience supporting SEN, autism, or complex needs (school, care, youth work or similar)
• A calm, patient and resilient approach to behaviour and emotional support
• Confidence supporting pupils with communication or sensory needs
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• A genuine passion for helping children with additional needs succeed
• Training such as Team Teach or behaviour management is desirable but not essential.
