We are currently recruiting a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a specialist school setting based in Morpeth. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and dedicated individual who is passionate about supporting children and young people aged 4–18 years with complex and multiple learning disabilities and difficulties. Working Hours Monday – Thursday: 8:40am – 3:40pm Friday: 8:40am – 2:40pm The Role Supporting pupils aged 4–18 with complex & multiple learning disabilities and difficulties Working with pupils who have speech, language & communication needs Supporting children with physical & sensory needs Providing one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual learning plans Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement, and independence Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and other professionals The Ideal Candidate Will Have experience working with children or young people with complex SEN (desirable but not essential) Be patient, nurturing, and adaptable to a range of needs Have strong communication skills and a team-focused approach Be confident supporting pupils with physical, sensory, and communication needs Hold a valid DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one What Leader Education Offers A rewarding role making a genuine difference in the lives of children and young people Ongoing support and professional development opportunities Refer-a-friend or colleague bonus scheme: £100 per referral (terms apply) How to Apply Interested candidates are invited to submit a comprehensive CV outlining their relevant experience and qualifications.
