Patient Care Advisor – North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust
Patient Care Advisor Band 3 – 37.50 hours per week – Fixed Term or a Secondment opportunity until the end of March 2027.
The role is based in the Contact Centre at Maglona House and is part of the four booking teams: referral (including fast track), medical, surgical and community booking.
Responsibilities
* Ensure patients are appointed into clinic slots in a timely and efficient manner, meeting maximum waiting time standards.
* Cleanse data and check referrals for duplication to support the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) project.
* Communicate with patients on multiple pathways, agreeing appointments while maintaining confidentiality and sensitivity.
* Accommodate patient preferences for date and time of appointments to the best of our ability.
* Deal with all patient enquiries effectively and ensure that all enquiries with an action are dealt with in a timely manner.
* Ensure patient records are kept up to date with accurate information.
* Check that referrals coming into the Trust are not duplicated and cleanse waiting lists to avoid wasted capacity.

* Standard Check: £21.50 + £5.90 administration = £27.40
* Enhanced Check: £49.50 + £5.90 administration = £55.40
