We are a friendly couple based in Gerrards Cross, seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and experienced housekeeper/nanny to help us maintain a clean and organised home, with the potential for occasional childcare responsibilities in the future.
About the Role:
Initially, we are looking for someone to work 8/9 hours per week, spread over 3 to 4 visits, with flexibility on days and times.
Key Housekeeping Duties:
- Laundry and ironing, including folding and organising clothes
- Dusting furniture and general surface cleaning
- Vacuuming and mopping carpets and floors
- Changing and making beds
- Deep cleaning of cupboards, kitchens, and bathrooms
- Cleaning inside of windows and ensuring all rooms remain clean and tidy
- Wardrobe management and overall organisation
- Clean out fridge periodically, clean oven as needed etc
- Sweeping porch and entrance path and patio once a week (during dry summer months!)
- Emptying bins
- Sanitising and wiping door handles, switches, bins etc
- Other standard housekeeping tasks as needed
There is scope for the role to evolve into nanny-housekeeper role for greater hours per week.
Future Childcare Responsibilities May Include:
- Washing, dressing, and changing a child
- Nappy changes and bottle sterilisation
- Supervising and ensuring the safety of the child at all times
- General support with baby care routines
What We're Looking For:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in housekeeping and nannying, with verifiable references
- A valid DBS check
- First Aid certification
- A valid UK work permit
- Must be self employed
- Someone trustworthy, thorough, and kind, with a strong work ethic
