The Haslem Group are recruiting for an experienced and dedicated Food and Beverage Supervisor to join their team at The Haslem Hotel, Lisburn. As our Food and Beverage Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our bar and restaurant, supervise and support the food and beverage team, and maintain high service standards.
Key responsibilities in this role:
Team Leadership:
* Provide leadership and guidance to the food and beverage team.
* Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate daily objectives and ensure the team are briefed.
* Monitor and motivate the team to deliver exceptional customer service.
Guest Satisfaction:
* Interact with guests to ensure a positive dining experience and address any concerns or feedback.
* Handle escalated customer issues and resolve them in a professional and timely manner.
* Ensure that service standards are consistently met or exceeded.
Operations Management:
* Oversee the daily operations of the food and beverage department, including opening and closing procedures.
* Maintain inventory levels and liaise with senior management to order supplies as needed.
Training and Development:
* Train new staff members on service standards, menu knowledge, and company policies.
* Identify opportunities for staff development.
Quality Control:
* Conduct regular inspections of the dining area and bar to ensure cleanliness and adherence to hygiene standards.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Financial Management:
* Handle cash and manage cash register operations accurately.
* Monitor and enforce cash handling and POS system procedures.
Qualifications:
* Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within the food and beverage industry preferred.
* Strong knowledge of food and beverage service, including menu items, wines, and cocktails.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
