Due to a long time serving member of staff leaving we are seeking a Qualified HGV Mechanic/Technician to join our long established family business based in Combs Suffolk. The successful candidate will need to be self motivated, able to carry out repairs and Service Maintenance on HGV Vehicles and Trailers to VOSA standards.This is a workshop based role. Hours are Monday to Friday (no Saturdays).A HGV class 1 Licence would be desirable but not essential.An attractive competitive Wage offered to successful candidate, dependent on experience*Qualifications** City& Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle repair & Maintenance (Desirable but not essential)* Computer Literate* Previous experience in the Commercial industry essential*Responsibilities** Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HGV Vehicles using Hand and Power Tools.* Diagnose Mechanical issues and troubleshoot equipment failures.* Assemble and disassemble Vehicle components as needed.* Utilize fabrication and Welding skills for custom repairs.* Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.* Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs.* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards in all tasks.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentBenefits:* Company pension* On-site parkingWork Location: In person
