We are looking for a PPC / Paid Media Manager to work for a Legal claims client based in Rawtenstall
Location: Hybrid (Remote with occasional in-person meetings in Rawtenstall, Lancs)
Reports to: Marketing Director
Salary: £40,000+
Hours: Flexible, results-focused
Client Profile
UK-based organisation committed to supporting former service personnel, including through advocacy, legal claims support, and raising awareness of key issues such as Noise-Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL). We are a mission-led team of veterans and professionals working together to make a measurable difference in the lives of our fellow veterans.
We’re now looking for an experienced, strategic and hands-on PPC / Paid Media Manager to take full ownership of our paid advertising channels and play a key role in driving lead generation for our nationwide veteran-focused initiatives.
About the Role
This is a rare opportunity to lead and grow the paid media function in a values-led organisation. As our first in-house PPC specialist, you’ll be central to shaping our acquisition strategy across Google, Bing, Meta, and other relevant platforms.
You’ll work directly with internal teams — including legal partners, developers, and client care — to align advertising performance with campaign goals and frontline needs. This is a role for someone both data-driven and people-savvy, who understands how to connect technical strategy with real-world impact.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, execute, and optimise paid media campaigns (PPC and paid social) across platforms including Google Ads, Bing, Meta (Facebook/Instagram), and others as appropriate.
• Manage budgets and ensure campaigns are cost-effective, high-performing, and consistently reducing cost per lead (CPL).
• Create, test, and refine ad copy, creatives, and landing page journeys.
• Collaborate with web developers and client service teams to ensure seamless UX and high conversion rates.
• Implement conversion tracking and configure event-based goals via GA4 and Meta Events Manager.
• Regularly monitor and analyse performance data (via GA4, Meta Insights, SEMrush, Hotjar etc.), providing actionable recommendations.
• Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis to identify gaps and opportunities.
• Produce clear, insightful monthly reports and communicate outcomes to stakeholders in a non-technical way.
• Identify and test new channels or tactics (e.g., TikTok, LinkedIn, programmatic) to stay ahead of the market.
• Take a lead role in setting up scalable processes and systems for PPC campaign delivery, testing, and optimisation.
• Support the planning and launch of new internal brands or campaigns as VFV expands its reach and offerings.
What We’re Looking For
• Proven experience managing PPC campaigns (minimum 3 years) with strong Google Ads and Meta PPC knowledge.
• Google Ads certified (or willing to certify immediately).
• Strong grasp of conversion tracking (GA4, Facebook Pixel, server-side tracking, etc.).
• Experience working with campaign analytics and behavioural tools (GA4, SEMrush, Hotjar, etc.).
• Ability to interpret data and translate performance insights into action.
• Skilled in A/B testing and landing page optimisation.
• Excellent ad copywriting and visual briefing skills.
• Understanding of compliance challenges in regulated environments (legal/health sectors desirable).
• Comfortable working autonomously, managing priorities, and owning results.
• Collaborative mindset — ready to work with veterans, client-facing teams, and external agencies.
• A proactive and positive attitude, with a desire to make a real difference.
Desirable but Not Essential
• Experience with TikTok Ads, LinkedIn Ads, or programmatic platforms.
• Understanding of accessibility and UX best practices for lead generation sites.
• Prior experience in the legal claims, healthcare, or veteran support sectors.
What We Offer
• A purpose-driven role where your work directly helps veterans who served in the UK military worldwide to access the support they deserve.
• Flexible, remote-first working with a supportive team culture.
• Opportunities for progression into a Head of Performance or Digital Marketing Lead role as the team expands.
• 29 days holiday including bank holidays (+1 day per year of service).
• Company pension scheme.
• Opportunity to shape the paid media function from the ground up.
• Early Friday finishes and flexible hours focused on outcomes, not clock-watching.
If you're a talented PPC specialist looking for meaningful work and the chance to build something from the ground up, we want to hear from you.
