Overview
We are seeking a Deputy Manager who is passionate about, and thrives on, making a real and positive difference to the lives of older people. Working in collaboration with the Home Manager and the wider multi‑disciplined teams you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth, efficient running of the home. This role involves managing diverse responsibilities across nursing and residential care, communication, budgets and financial controls, and human resources, while upholding high standards of person‑centred care.

Responsibilities
* Ensure the smooth, efficient running of the home in collaboration with the Home Manager and multi‑disciplinary teams.
* Manage and maintain budgetary and financial controls; be personally accountable for human resources.
* Promote engaging and creative marketing initiatives and coach colleagues to pursue training and development for personal and professional growth.
* Provide leadership and supervision across the home, maintaining a calm, flexible approach in challenging situations.
* Ensure all areas of the home receive appropriate attention, including residents’ personal items and handling emergencies and incidents in a timely, professional manner.
* Uphold high standards of care and ensure staff adhere to the organisation’s policies and procedures.
Qualifications and experience
* Minimum Level 4 NVQ in Health and Social Care.
* Experience of working within the health care sector.
* Management / Leadership experience (essential) and qualification (desirable).
* Hold an NMC (Nursing and Midwifery) certificate with an active PIN.
* Caring nature with the ability to give everyone a personal approach.
* Flexible and adaptable to changes at short notice; able to work well under pressure without negative impact to others.
* Warm, approachable, and engaging persona; respectful and considerate towards all.
* Resilient and adaptable to differing needs of colleagues and residents.
