Finance is viewed as a key partner in decision-making rather than a back-office function.
Your new role
This is a hands-on Finance Manager role, acting as the lead finance professional within the organisation. Working closely with the Chief Executive, you will take ownership of the finance function and provide clear, reliable financial insight to support planning and decision-making.Key responsibilities include:
1. Producing monthly management accounts with clear narrative and analysis
2. Managing cash flow, including forward-looking forecasts and cash planning
3. Supporting budgeting and forecasting, monitoring performance and variances
4. Overseeing day-to-day finance operations, including invoicing, payments, bank reconciliations, accruals and prepayments
5. Processing payroll and ensuringpliance with PAYE, pensions and HMRC submissions
6. Owning and developing the organisation’s accounting system (Xero) and improving finance processes
7. Supporting year-end accounts, audit and regulatory reporting, includingpliance with charity and statutory requirements
8. Preparing clear financial information for senior stakeholders and Board reporting
9. Providing line management support to one direct report

What you'll need to succeed
10. Proven experience in a hands-on finance role, such as Finance Manager or Management Accountant
11. Strong experience producing management accounts and working with financial data
12. Ability to interpret figures and provide meaningful financial insight, not just report numbers
13. Experience using accounting software (Xero preferred)
14. Experience processing payroll (BrightPay desirable)
15. High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
16. Confidence in working independently and engaging with senior stakeholders
