We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear. As a key member, you will play a vital role in fighting fraud and piracy.
The successful candidate will perform financial cost analyses to ensure financial and tactical objectives align with organizational goals. Responsibilities include:
* Conducting internal management reporting, Cost Management, and supporting analysis.
* Automating reporting and analysis.
This includes conducting the following analyses:
* Spending and variance analysis.
* Work order variance analysis.
* Raw material yield analysis.
* Direct labor analysis.
* Product processing yield analysis.
* Purchase price variance analysis.
You will work closely with Operations and other stakeholders to ensure timely and effective communication of areas needing improvement and resulting action items. Additional responsibilities include:
* Performing cost models and product pricing studies and new item set-ups.
* Timely and accurate closings.
* Data Management: supporting MAS 500 processes and system development.
* Conducting financial control documentation and supporting audits.
* Assisting in the analytical and/or strategic function including budgeting, planning, and forecasting.
* Resolving conflict problems escalated by associates.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
* Minimum 3-5 years of relevant finance/accounting experience.
* ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system experience is essential, MAS 500 experience a plus.
* Experience using financial and in-house software to perform analysis and report generation.
