About the Role
As a Health Care Assistant in our Specialist Surgery Ward, you will play an essential role in supporting patients and the wider healthcare team. Your daily responsibilities will include providing personal care to patients, supporting with mobility and transfers, monitoring and recording basic observations, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a fast-paced surgical ward. You'll work closely with Registered Nurses and other health professionals, gaining valuable experience in a supportive team environment that values compassion, teamwork, and patient-centred care.

Our Specialist Surgery Ward cares for patients undergoing complex surgical procedures across multiple specialties. Our team is experienced, collaborative, and passionate about providing the highest standard of care.

About you
As a Health Care Assistant, you will bring:
* Recent experience working as a Health Care Assistant, ideally within a hospital or surgical environment
* A Level 3 Certificate in Health & Wellbeing (or a commitment to complete this training)
* A good understanding of manual handling equipment and infection control practices
* A caring, reliable, and professional attitude with excellent communication skills
* The ability to work well as part of a multidisciplinary team and follow instructions with confidence and maturity
