The Overview
Are you a senior electrical professional who has perhaps hit a glass ceiling? Maybe tired of supervising a 'gang of subbies' on projects? Or just looking for a change from being 'hands-on', in a role that is the natural next step in your career?
We offer the opportunity to use your knowledge to become a full 'Project Engineer' for a world-leading electrical manufacturer, managing projects in sectors like rail, healthcare, and manufacturing.
Our track record over the last 12 years includes placing 25 individuals across the UK, all of whom are still with the company, with 7 promoted to more senior roles. This demonstrates the company's commitment to career development. You will be trained on unique equipment, further advancing your career.
This is a rare opportunity to grow into a project role with potential for larger career progression. The package, including salary, car allowance, and bonus, can total over £50k annually.
The Role Itself
The company has Project Engineers across the UK and is now seeking someone to manage projects, primarily in the rail sector, though sector experience is flexible provided you have electrical expertise and project understanding.
You will receive training on their equipment and will work closely with client directors to build relationships. The role is home-based with autonomy to plan your days, and site visits will be required as needed.
About You
We typically look for electrical professionals aiming to develop skills on complex equipment or those who have hit a career ceiling. You should be able to read electrical diagrams and have some project experience. Willingness to learn new equipment and develop your career is essential.
Our Client
We have worked with leading electrical companies worldwide. Our client is a multinational organization present on every continent except Antarctica, experiencing organic growth in the UK (25% over four years), giving it a dynamic SME-like environment. They manufacture electrical equipment supplied across various sectors globally, requiring staff training on complex, new-to-you equipment.
