Registered Nurse role at Nursing - Longbridge Deverill House & Nursing Home. Contract: Bank. Salary: £20.80 Per Hour. Shift Type: Days & Nights Available. Contracted hours: 0. The home offers Residential, Dementia, Nursing, and Respite care for the elderly, accommodating up to 60 residents in a supportive environment that enhances quality of life.
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated RN who can deliver clinical excellence and holistic care, while leading and mentoring others to uphold dignity and respect for residents.
What You’ll Do
* Craft personalized care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
* Observe daily interactions and conditions; ensure care documentation is precise, legal, and clear to the team.
* Lead each shift by organizing the team and clarifying roles to deliver high-quality care.
* Oversee shift handovers to ensure continuity of care.
* Monitor health, perform routine observations, and manage specific health needs with attention to safety.
* Administer medications safely, adhering to MAR sheets and protocols.
* Foster strong relationships with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals, addressing concerns with empathy and urgency.
* Support residents in daily activities to promote independence while providing hands-on assistance as needed.
* Act on feedback to prioritize resident health and well-being.
* Uphold dignity and individuality, advocating for residents’ needs and preferences.
* Facilitate social engagement and activities to enrich residents’ lives and foster a vibrant community.
* Maintain safety, ensuring a secure environment for all.
* Support nutrition and hydration, monitoring residents at risk of weight changes or dehydration.
* Respond to emergencies using the on-call system and reflect on practices to improve care.
About You
* You’re a Registered General or Mental Health Nurse (RGN or RMN) with an active NMC PIN.
* Care home experience is a plus, but your passion for care and dedication to improving residents’ lives matters most.
* You connect naturally with residents, families, and colleagues, bringing warmth and a calm, patient demeanour.
* Clear, empathetic, and respectful communication with residents, families, and care teams is essential.
